Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant

Késsia holds a degree in Portuguese and English Language and Literature from the Federal University of Grande Dourados. 

Originally from Brazil, over the past seven years, she has taught English as a foreing laguage to students of all ages, proficiency levels, and learning contexts. In recent years, she has worked as an English teacher in the municipal school system of Dourados, Brazil, and volunteered as a Portuguese teacher for migrants through a project by the State University of Mato Grosso do Sul.  

In the 2025–2026 academic year, she is serving as a Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant in the Portuguese program at UGA.
