Lincoln Bain IV is a Limited-Term Instructor of Spanish in the Department of Romance Languages at the University of Georgia. He holds a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching from the University of Arizona, with a specialization in digital game-based language learning, instructional technology, and multimodal composing. His research examines how digital games, live-streaming platforms, and artificial intelligence support language learning, identity development, and informal pedagogical practices in both classroom and “digital wilds” contexts. Dr. Bain brings over eight years of experience in K–12 and higher education and currently serves as a curriculum designer for Mage Duel, an educational role-playing game that integrates narrative-driven language learning grounded in SLA theory.
