Nahuatl Study Group

LACSI Yellow House
Announcement
Conversation Group

Chocolotl, tomatl, coyotl. Do you recognize these words?

That´s right, we get "chocolate," "tomato," "coyote," and many other words from Nahuatl, the language of the Aztec empire that is still spoken by about 2 million people.

Join the Náhuatl Study Group for our first weekly meeting this Wednesday, September 9 at 4:15 pm in Gilbert Hall room 309. Our goal is to study Nahuatl language, literature, and culture in a collaborative environment.

All are welcome. No previous knowledge of Náhuatl is required.

Email slowman2@uga.edu with any questions or comments.

Sponsored by the Latin American and Carribbean Studies Institute (LACSI) and the Latin American Indigenous Languages (LAIL) initiative at UGA.
