About this Degree Apply Now Students majoring in Romance Languages are immersed in the rich and challenging study of language and culture. Courses in linguistics, literature, and specialized topics lead to advanced levels of speaking and writing proficiency, the development of intercultural social skills, and an understanding of the vast Romance Language-speaking world. Students may choose to pursue proficiency in a combination of any two Romance languages, or focus solely on Italian or Portuguese through a single language option.
