Alvaro Ley Garrido

My name is Álvaro Ley Garrido and I'm currently a fourth-year PhD student in Hispanic Studies at UGA. I also serve as a Teaching Assistant in the Spanish Program (SPAN 2001/2550). My currents field are Spanish Golden Age culture and Latinx Studies, but I've been working in Nineteenth century Peninsular literature for the last years and my interests have guided me to work in Translation studies as well.

Ximena is passionate about engagement, outreach, diversity, and inclusion. Her research interests are Latinx Studies, Latin American literature, cultural studies, and Mexican American culture.
