The 2025 Hispanic Linguistics Symposium (HLS) was a success! It was great seeing UGA alumni like Matt Kanwit (University of Pittsburgh), Lamar Graham (University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill), and María Morado-Vázquez (Ohio State University) presenting alongside current faculty and graduate students. Congratulations and good luck as you step into your new role as Assistant Teaching Professor of Spanish at Brown University starting in fall 2025. Eliot Westdorp has been selected as a recipient of a 2025 Sigma Delta Pi (SDP) Graduate Research Grant Award among a very competitive pool of applicants nationwide.
